Words of WonderPoem-for-someone-Rose-Cook

This is a poem for someone
who is juggling her life.
Be still sometimes.
Be still sometimes.

It needs repeating
over and over
to catch her attention
over and over,
as someone who is juggling her life
finds it difficult to hear.

Be still sometimes.
Be still sometimes.
Let it all fall sometimes.

by Rose Cook

Yes, this poem by the English photographer and poet Rose Cook speaks to me, I often feel like I am juggling my life. And maybe it’s precisely because of that, I know the preciousness of ‘being still sometimes’. How sitting down in the midst and the mess of it all, frees up the narrative that it’s only after all is done and sorted out and under control, we can rest and be at peace. We don’t have to believe every thought that comes into our mind, thoughts are not facts! So yes, I’m with Rose Cook here, although I also need the encouragement repeatedly. ‘Be still sometimes. Let it all fall sometimes’. Try it out!
